Fueling

We carry one 5 gal diesel jug and go ashore to the local gas station making several trips as necessary to obtain fuel.  With only one jug to store in the lazarette we do not take up valuable storage space and we do not use on deck jug storage. We use a jug that we bought in Key Largo, FL in 2004 that has an automatic shutoff nozzle.

To transfer fuel from the jug to the boat I invert the jug and let the weight of it press down on the collar opening the valve and allowing fuel to transfer.

No muss, no fuss, no funnel.
